Alexander Lattas
Alexander is a postgraduate Advanced Computing student in Imperial College London, with an academic interest in Machine Learning, Security and Entrepreneurship.
He has graduated 2nd from his BSc in Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business and has been an Innovation Management affiliate student at University College London.
Alexander has also participated in the Machine Learning summer school by the University of Cambridge and at the Educational Trip 2016 at the University of California Berkeley.
Alexander has been a Technical Consultant Intern at Oracle and a Co-Founder and Board Member at Junior Achievement Alumni Greece.
He has been awarded the Hellenic Petroleum scholarship, the Social Impact Award (2014), the Junior Achievement Company Programme Award (2012), three honorary distinctions from Athens University of Economics and Business and one from the Greek Ministry of Education.

Experience
Innovation Intern
Facesoft aims to be a leader in automatic face analysis, 2D/3D face reconstruction and tracking, face and facial expression recognition, facial motion capture, etc.
During my internship I am automating a high-dimensional 3D reconstruction pipeline and building a novel large-scale database with facial 3D models.
The data are captured by a cutting-edge lightstage I maintain.
Technical Consultant Intern
Worked on the customisation of Oracle Access Manager for three customers by creating Java plug-ins and branded pages.
Gained expertise through internal training on Oracle Identity Cloud Service and the newly acquired, Machine Learning powered, cloud security policy enforcement service Oracle CASB CS.
For the last one, I presented tutorials and demos I made at my department and also presented it on an hour-long conference session.
Computer Security Research Associate, Information Systems Technology Laboratory
I am a member of the Software Engineering and Security (SENSE) research group and I am currently working with Prof.
Diomidis Spinellis on User Interaction Prediction Models.
I have previously worked on two security research projects: one on web browser security and one on the evolution of secure programming practices.
Co-Founder, International Coordinator, Junior Achievement Alumni Greece
JA Alumni Greece is the Greek Alumni Association of the worldwide organization Junior Achievement Alumni Greece.
We have more than 200 members and partner alumni from many European countries.
In June 2013, I co-founded it and as the Project Manager, I was responsible for the projects and events that we organize for our members, including seminars, meetings and contests.
Since September 2015, I am responsible for its communications, website and brand image.
Teaching Assistant, Athens University of Economics and Business
From October 2014 to June 2015, I was presenting tutorials, two hours a week, for the Micro- and Macroeconomics courses at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB in the Department of Management Science and Technology.
Tutorials included analyses, assignments and exercises on Micro- and Macroeconomics while coaching students to contribute actively to the course.
Research Assistant, Centre of Planning and Economic Research
The Centre of Planning and Economic Research is the largest economics research institute in Greece.
It focuses on applied research projects regarding the Greek economy, and provides technical advice to the Greek government on economic and social policy issues.
I was running a linear analysis of the oil market in Greece in order to indicate anomalies that harm the customers' needs.
